About R Hunsicker

R Hunsicker (e/em/eir and they/them/their) is a writer, scholar, and activist from the Adirondack Park in New York. As a PhD Student in Gender Studies at Indiana University Bloomington, eir work focuses on asexuality and feminist theory. However, R is also navigating transness, (a)gender embodiment, queer menstruation, and Black feminist radical love politic in their writing. They also conduct oral histories of rural LGBTQIA+ people in Central and Upstate New York, among many other LGBTQ+ centered projects and quandaries. Outside of eir scholarship, R loves to hike, cross stitch, play D&D, and drink tea!
