Born and raised in southern Germany, Kristina has moved across three continents over the course of her studies. After completing her undergrad in Cultural and Social Anthropology in Vienna, Austria, her master’s program in Global Studies took her to México, New Delhi, India and finally back to Berlin. She is committed to researching women’s health and sexuality, particularly focusing on pleasure and dismantling harmful narratives surrounding pain and privilege.

Her research methodology is founded in qualitative methods and she believes strongly in decolonizing research production, recognizing people’s internal knowledge and returning the research to the researched.
